Random

I have a goal of reading every General Conference talk since I was born. I started this goal a few months ago, and since I haven't been perfect at it, I've only made it to April 1986 so far. Along with reading past General Conference addresses, I am trying to read recent ones as well. Currently I read two talks a day: one from 1986, and one from 2012. I just read the talks consecutively in Conference order, I don't jump around. On December 3, I was reading a talk from October 2012---the one about missionaries, by Elder Nelson. A few minutes later, I pulled up the 1986 General Conference, and scrolled down to the talk for the day. Who was it by? Elder Nelson. It was Elder Nelson day. A few days later, I'm reading my General Conference talks, and who were they both by? Elder Perry. It was Elder Perry day. I just found it quite odd that within a matter of days, that occurred twice. I'll be honest....for awhile during this month, I did not read two talks every day. I would just read one from 2012, or one from 1986. However, the past few days I have been reading two daily once more. And yesterday the double speaker happened again! This time it was Elder Oaks day. To add to the randomness...I pulled up the talk for today from 1986, and as I began reading the talk was seeming really familiar. I paused for a bit, racking my brain as to how I knew this talk already. Then it dawned on me, one of the speakers in Church yesterday used that very talk from 1986 as the basis for his discourse. I don't know why I felt like sharing this random story from my life. I just find it so crazy. What are the chances of both talks being by the same speaker so frequently? I think I'm going to start keeping track of how often this happens from here on out.
