The great adventure of 2012

All summer long one of my brothers and I talked about going on a road trip at the conclusion of summer semester. The plan was to leave the Monday after I finished finals, and then start making our way west. The original plan was to travel to lots of Temples(Monticello, Snowflake, Las Vegas, Redlands, Mesa, Albuquerque, and Lubbock), a route of about 3600 miles. However, I got really sick on the first day. So instead we just went to Albuquerque and Lubbock. A shorter trip than originally planned, but still good.
Here are some pictures:

We went to Garden of the Gods, near Colorado Springs, CO.

 The Albuquerque Temple:

Statue outside of Old Town Albuquerque. I think it's Don Francisco Cuervas. I don't remember though.

We rode the tram to the top of Sandia Mountain.

People in Roswell, NM, sure love their aliens. Seriously, there is alien stuff everywhere.

Getting ready to go inside the Carlsbad Caverns.

The Lubbock Temple:

This picture should be first. Jacob was with us for the first leg of the journey. We took him home to Colorado. But first we had to stop and see the atomic cannon.

  1. And Megan is cool because she figured out where we were using the GPS coordinates.
